For absentee ballots, you must fill out an “Application for Absent Voter’s Ballot” in order to receive an absentee ballot. Forms are already available (for both elections) 24/7 at the township hall (in the office during business hours or on the back side of the post at the entrance to the township office in the plastic mailbox); we prefer you to use the forms we provide, as they have all the information we need to properly record your request information (please don’t use generic forms you may get from political groups, as they make more work for us transferring your information to our forms). You can mail your application form or place it in the lockbox on the front of the building at any time; ballots are here about 6 weeks before the election, so your ballots will be mailed to you in a timely manner once we have them. Also, once ballots are here, you can come in and fill out your application, receive and vote your ballot and return it to us at the same time (or just take the ballot home with you and return it at your convenience) – there is usually someone in the Clerk’s office from 9am to noon (Mon-Thurs) to help you with this.
